While John is working locally and living at the farm, I am still straddling town and country to help earn income while we finish major infrastructure and renovation work on the property. So it's interesting for me to return after four/five days away and see how much has changed in the interim.
This weekend I spent most of the time inside, hanging vintage black & while photographs of NZ sheep herds on the mudroom walls, assembling a bookcase for the knitting studio, and getting ready for the kitchen installation Thursday.
Friends decided to come over for afternoon tea on Saturday to see our latest progess, so I ventured outside to walk down to the Cottage to get that organized. As I stepped out the door, I heard tuis croaking and looked up to see five tuis feasting on the nectar of the yellow blossums of our Kowhai tree, just having a ball!
