Before you say anything, I know. I'm meant to be finishing my UFO's. I'd been making good progress on my Everyday Wrap, only four inches to go before I can fold, stitch the seam, and knit the ruffle. Home stretch.
But I've been thinking about buntings, which all of a sudden are everywhere. I want to make a knitted one for the Knitting Studio and then play around with making a felted one, maybe with appliques or buttons.
First the knitted one. I searched Ravelry http://www.ravelry.com , and after considering the options chose a free pattern from GreenMountainMama called "Knitted Bunting." It has an applied i-cord edging that's knitted once the flags are done, and knits the i-cord onto the flags, so it will be good to learn that technique. I dug out a stash of Biggan Design DK Merino First Cross http://www.biggandesign.com in a glorious rainbow of colors (plus one navy skein of Cascade 220):

I'm bad, I know. I also dug out some other colors of Cascade 220 for the felted version. A quick detour from the tasks at hand but I'm having fun.
