There are definitely more knitted pillows in the project queue for the sitting room at Struan Farm Knitting Studio.
Before Christmas I sent my friend Mel Clark, kiwi knitwear designer and owner of South Seas Knitting, some fabric swatches. I asked for her help with suggestions on colors and fibers to order, afraid that the colors were so subtle and neutral that they wouldn't translate all that reliably over the internet.
Mel responded with some great choices, which (of course) I promptly purchased from her, including yarns by Blue Sky Alpacas and Manos del Uruguay (wool classica and silk blend):
The good thing is that these are quick, fun projects that can be done using easy stitch patterns, maybe felted, maybe using some vintage buttons. Stay tuned!
