I received these photos by email yesterday from the contractors, taken during the final part of Jim's Hut's journey down Coleman's River Track to the hills overlooking the river. It is now resting safely at its new home base overlooking the Mangaotaki River at Struan Farm.
p.s. I think they were as excited about all this as we were (perhaps relieved, too!).
Noel and Deanna arrive the first weekend in February to finish up the painting, after which we'll finish up the interior, water tank, composting toilet, etc. John's got a little woodburning stove we'll have installed in the corner in due course, so it will be cozy in winter too!
