I like the idea of this, I really do.
Taking seeds from this year's zinneas and sunflowers to grow the next. Circle of life and all that.
The only problem is that this is seriously tedious work! I stashed several hundred seeds that I dried out in the hot water cupboard on trays, and there were thousands left to do. After a few hours of putting them into newspaper envelops I decided to toss what remained back into the garden to let Mother Nature (and the birds possibly) do the work that I haven't the time to do. I feel like I'm being wasteful, but only so many hours in the day at Struan Farm.
