This summer I posted about planting delphinium again in the gardens at Struan Farm, after learning from John that they were once quite a feature.
Various family members could recall a picture of their maternal grandmother "Mae Mae" in a blue dress standing amidst the extensive bed of blossoms that John's parents planted at the time. However no one could locate the photograph, despite my SOS.
Recently Anna came up with the goods, which I had scanned:
So Mae Mae has been rediscovered. And while everyone seems to have remembered Mae Mae in the blue dress with the blue flowers, it seems they forgot about little blonde Louise standing beside her. Perhaps because the flowers were taller than she was!
