Not financial, rather of the gardening kind. It's that time of the year, when I gird my loins and grab my secaturs and loppers to start the cutback of the hydrangeas and roses in the gardens at Struan Farm.
I started this week between rain storms, and managed to get through a good part of Hydrangea Hill with Ella's help. Last year I tried to count the total number, but lost it after 80 hydrangea and 30 roses. So let's just say there are a fair few, and the annual haircut requires many trailer trips to the burn pile and lots of time.
We'll all be happy when they bloom beautifully in the spring/summer, so I will stop whining right now and get stuck into it!
