Yes, we're tree people here at Struan Farm. And once we realised that yesterday was Arbor Day in NZ, John and I decided that there was only one option for a beautiful sunny day: planting more trees! So we hooked up the trailer and headed off to Smart Plants in Te Kuiti, returning with a full load:
We spent the rest of the day planting them around the new(ish) house, overlooking the pond, and up behind the Cottage to help hide the big green water tank on the hill. John also picked up a few more Awanui flowering cherry trees to extend his avenue through the Cottage paddock along the farm track even further.
