Sprucing Things Up

It wasn't all Rugby World Cup this weekend at Struan Farm, I can assure you. And much to John's dismay!

I recruited him to help me with painting the back half of the Homestead. It needed a touch up ahead of a wedding scheduled in the gardens in mid-December. (Kristen and Jeff, take note..) Basically I can't get up high enough to do the top bits, so need to bring in a helper.

John finds painting boring, while for me it's meditative. But we work well as a team on this sort of thing, and have managed to get the job almost done. The french doors on the side porch are left for me to do. Have to say everything looks much cleaner and fresher as a result!
