It's a transitional time right now in the flower gardens at Struan Farm. Still a few roses, still a few hydrangea, still a few dahlias and other bits and pieces. But the summer peak bloom is definitely past. I'm grasping at straws somewhat when I go out to put together arrangements for farmstay guests as well as our own table. I can't be on autopilot, I need to look and have time to play around to come up with something that works.
I rather like the "antique" white hydrangea and pinkish sedum buds I put on our table this weekend, although it's not my usual "thing" is it?
These are more like it, I know!
