Interesting to see a number of trees "fruiting" around us at this time of year at Struan Farm. Remember the flowering dogwood tree, under which two couples got married this past summer? At the moment it is covered in beautiful red fruit. The fruit is/are commonly called "strawberries," but on closer examination they do look more like raspberries. As the flowers die away the green centres mature and turn red. The birds love eating them. The fruit is edible but I haven't tested that out personally just yet!
A different sort of beauty but beautiful nonetheless.
