It seems that autumn is almost upon us here at Struan Farm. A sure sign is that the walnuts are starting to drop in the Pet Paddock. Time to start gathering them for drying before the dog, wild turkeys and rats beat me to it.
Hard to tell at this stage how large the crop will be, but I'm seeing lots of green nuts on the tree. Note to self: add "gathering walnuts" onto the "To Do" list every few days. Recruiting a few grandchildren might be a good idea too.
