Visiting friend Kris noticed that I had quite the surplus of both basil and parsley in the veggie gardens here at Struan Farm this past week. So she offered to make up batches of pesto, enlisting husband Bob as "sous chef." I was happy to let them have at it, and now have several additional batches of basil pesto as well as parsley walnut pesto and parsley pecan pesto in the freezer, lucky us!
Only problem now is that this used up all of our stash of last year's walnuts, and I really need to start cracking this year's walnut harvest that's been drying out in the garage...haven't had any volunteers to help with that!
