I called in to see "Posh," the orphaned baby goat we rescued a week or so ago here at Struan Farm. We adopted her out given my travel schedule, which meant I couldn't be around to deal with the frequent bottle feedings she would require.
This is one seriously happy little goat! I dropped off the coat and a pink collar for her so she has a "town wardrobe." She has a purpose built crate with fresh straw, inside. So she's warm and cozy and quite the little Queen Bee. When outside she runs, jumps and hops around, is loved by the two little boys. (Confession: she's got a much cushier situation than she would have had if she'd stayed with us.)
It was very clear to me I'm "Yesterday's Mum," so time for me to move on. Bring on those pet lambs!
