It's almost lambing time. This past week Mike helped me set up the pet lamb pen in the backyard at the house here at Struan Farm. I've bought a stash of new bottles, powdered milk and colostrum. So I'm ready and waiting for the abandoned lambs to land. Both Farmer John and the neighbours know I'm keen for ewe pet lambs in particular. Rosie has been enlisted to be the Queen Mum, offering support and guidance. But we both know that I'll be mum, really.
