It's that time of the year when the native jasmine, "Kaihua," is blooming in one of our QEII protected bush reserves. While I can show you some photos, apologies, but I can't share its wonderful fragrance with you! Normally it grows at the tops of high trees, but we're lucky to have some growing at ground level, right by the track that goes past the pond down to the Mangaotaki River.
