The surfer dude word is technically spelled "narly" not "gnarly," but these are "gnarly" indeed. A few days ago we noticed that several of the old, gnarled trees behind the Cottage at Struan Farm are in fact trees within trees.
The trees have grown together and fused, creating these lovely braided, sculptural trunks. Aren't they amazing?
