Not in Brooklyn in this instance. John and I have been working to finish the gardens up at the new(ish) house at Struan Farm, and we're almost done. A few days ago we decided that we needed one more tree smallish tree for the front of the lawn area, and found a beautiful "Acer 'Shindeshojo'" at nearby Smart Plants.
The brilliant red colour of the foliage pops, and the shape of the tree is fantastic.
I'm also pretty happy with how the gardens are looking at the moment. I haven't quite finished weeding the big bed around the back and the right edge, but I'm on the home stretch. Now to keep those rabbits at bay. Next comes the Homestead.
