The delphiniums (delphinia?) in the gardens here at Struan Farm are starting to bloom. It looks like it's going to be a good year for them. I grew these from seed; they've come again for a second year. One never knows about that, at least I don't, so I don't count my delphiniums until they're hatched. I've been good so far with the staking so the taller flowers haven't keeled over just yet!
These have been planted in honour of John's grandmother "MaeMae." Can you guess why?
That's a young Louise beside her. I also note some yellow dahlias in the foreground we also still have growing in the gardens!
