Despite our recent juice making adventures there are still heaps of crabapples hanging from the Jack Humm crabapple tree in the orchard here at Struan Farm. So we were very happy to see a mob of little "wax eye" birds enjoying the fruit (or "silver eyes," whichever you call them). I didn't have my long lens with me, but there are a few still on the tree in that first photo.
It's amazing there's so much fruit every year on one little tree.
