And then there are those early winter mornings, when the air temperature is just that little bit warmer, when Struan Farm is enveloped in fog. It adds an air of mystery and moodiness to the morning landscape, at least until the sun starts to filter through and warm things up.
While the ewes were mingling with the turkeys in the front Pet Paddock (good thing Clifford wasn't with me), they wasted no time moving. There were no stragglers, I did check. Cookie, Ruby and Pip led the way, Rosie was dawdling but rushed up to me once she realised the situation. She seemed a bit clingy, wanting to stay by my side. Perhaps she really does need that apple.
