My basil bounty continues, even after having donated a fair number (40+) of seedling plants to the Piopio Community Fruit & Veg Stand. So I'm now bartering cut basil for coffee vouchers at our local cafe, The Fat Pigeon. It helps with their holiday catering jobs, especially since fresh produce deliveries are only made to Piopio once each week.
And I enjoy coffee, so it's win/win. We're almost through the first round of planting, but I've just potted up 238 more seedlings into cells. It may be pesto time once again!
