Yes, we have plums in abundance here at Struan Farm! So I'm working to put them to use. Fortunately there are heaps of good recipes out there to try, including this "Plum and Almond Galette" courtesy of the NZ Herald's "Bite" supplement.
Quick and easy to make. I thought it was delicious while John, who doesn't like anything at all tart, thought it was sour. He can eat plums fresh but finds them sour in baked things if I don't amp up the sugar, which I'm trying hard not to do these days. But with plums it seems I must.
