This summer I've had several huge "Monarda citriodora" plants growing in the veggie gardens at Struan Farm. It's a member of the mint family, and is more commonly called "Lemon Beebalm" here. I was interested to read that it's also called "Horse Mint" in North America where it originates.
I love this herb, it's spectacularly ornamental. And of course our pollinators love it. I'm sad to see the flowers starting to go to seed and dry. It is an annual and easiest to grow from a root cutting. I may try that.
