I finally had some quiet, quality time with my heirloom tomato seedlings in the glasshouse over the weekend here at Struan Farm. We've done a run for a trailer load of potting soil, and I'll use pretty much all of the recycled pots I've got stashed in the Pot Palace.
So far I've potted up 240 "Cherokee Purple," "Oxheart," "Black Oxheart," and "Big Red Heirloom" tomato seedlings. The latter are those grown from seeds I saved from particularly wonderful tomatoes last year.
Still hundreds and hundreds left to go, and several more different varieties, but it's a start. I like to hum Mozart to encourage them to grow!
