Yesterday afternoon I had to recruit a helper to get the next wave of White Diamond grapes picked from the grape arbor/pergola on our front lawn here at Struan Farm. Even with my sturdy step stool I wasn't tall enough to clip the clusters of grapes off the vines. Enter John, with Clifford staying beneath to gulp up any random grapes.
While we had some grapes last year, this season the crop has been incredible, from one vine. And the red grape on the other corner has started to come around as well.
There are still more to harvest on the vines, we're pacing ourselves. Just don't suggest wine-making, okay? We've got more than enough going on at this point!
