It's good to see that the planters I've sown in the glasshouse here at Struan Farm with veggies are already sprouting! Lettuce, rocket/arugula, spinach, spring onion, silverbeet/chard and parsley. I've also planted a few seedling tomato plants and some kale, covered with net curtain to fend off white cabbage butterflies.
I'm encouraged also that the seeds I planted outside in Veggie World and the raised bed in front have germinated as well. All except the carrots, which I suspect have a longer germination period.
I've got enough seed left to do some sequential sowings in other planters too.
In the veggie troughs I've got seedling beets, silverbeet/chard, spinach, broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage going as well. Suspect I could be dropping bags of veggies on neighbours' doorsteps in a few weeks time.
