This year pet lamb "Snowball" is Piopio's Next Top Model 2023. Recently she sat patiently on John's lap while he was interviewed by TV1's Breakfast show, this picture was taken right before. The interview was meant to be about the revival of Waitomo's "Running of the Sheep" in Te Kuiti as part of the Great NZ Muster. And it was, but what they didn't divulge upfront to John was that they also had an animal rights activist from the SPCA along to complain about how this was hurtful to the sheep! No one asked Snowball what she thought, or even acknowledged her. So much for animal rights. If they'd asked her she would have said she's cool with it all, that sheep are used to being mustered. In any event, we thought it was only appropriate for Snowball to grace this year's Christmas card.
